The "Target Market USA Summit," organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), was held at the TOBB Twin Towers with the participation of Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. The summit focused on discussions aimed at enhancing trade between Turkey and the United States and strengthening the position of Turkish firms in the U.S. market.
Ali Emre Demir, an attorney from Onal Gallant Law Firm, attended the summit. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the $100 billion trade target between Turkey and the United States is an achievable vision. He highlighted the need to increase technology and service exports, establish sector-specific logistics centers, and accelerate the integration of Turkish firms into the U.S. market to reach this goal.
Hisarcıklıoğlu also underlined the significance of the TOBB Trade Centers (TTM) project, noting that the TTM established in Chicago in 2021 has provided comprehensive solutions to Turkish firms, ranging from logistics to supply chain management. He added that this model would be expanded to strategic cities like Los Angeles and New York to further enhance Turkish firms’ presence in the United States.
The summit concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing members who have achieved successful business collaborations with the U.S.
