The Diversity Visa Program (DV Lottery) is congressionally mandated and allows up to 55,000 persons from nations that are historically underrepresented in terms of migration to the United States of America to qualify each year for immigrant visas, also known as “Green Cards”. The purpose of the DV lottery is to diversify the U.S. population.
Candidates are selected randomly by computer and are notified by mail between May and July of the following year. Those who were not selected will not be notified.
While you can apply for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program yourself, getting help from an experienced lawyer can make the process run much smoother. Onal Gallant Bayram & Amin PC will guide you through every step of the DV lottery process.
